Q&A With Julie: Joining Banks Homes
Welcome to Banks Homes, Julie! Can you tell us a bit about your background and how you got into new home sales?
Thank you! I spent 14 years in retail, most recently as an Admin Manager. My journey into new build home sales began after purchasing a new build myself—it was such a positive experience that I wanted to help others through the same process. The following year, I joined the same housebuilder as a Trainee Sales Adviser. Just six months later, I was managing my own site. I stayed there for eight years and loved every minute of it.
What attracted you to the Sales Executive role at Banks Homes?
I was drawn to Banks Homes because of its exciting growth and momentum. It’s an incredible opportunity to contribute to a company that’s shaping its future in the new homes market, and I wanted to be part of that journey.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
I’m looking forward to working with the team to deliver a seamless, positive experience for every customer—from the first enquiry to moving day. It’s incredibly rewarding to help people find the perfect home and make the process as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

How would you describe the Banks Homes developments and build quality so far?
I’m currently based at Cathedral Meadows, and it’s a beautiful development. The homes are spacious and thoughtfully designed. The two show homes really stand out, especially with features like master bedroom balconies and generously sized hallways.
What’s your approach to guiding buyers through the homebuying journey?
Because I’ve been through it myself, I understand how overwhelming the process can be, especially the legal side. I focus on reassurance, clear communication, and ongoing support. My goal is to make the entire customer journey experience enjoyable and stress-free.
Tips for Buying a New Build Home
Do you have any advice for people buying a new build home?
Absolutely—enjoy your options meeting! It’s such a fun part of the process where buyers get to personalise their new home. I love seeing the choices people make and how they bring their vision to life.
A Day in the Life
What does a typical day look like for you as a Sales Executive?
Every day is different! I handle everything from enquiries and viewings to customer journey meetings and handovers. The highlight is always handing over the keys, it’s such a joyful, memorable moment.
What do you love most about working in the property industry?
It’s incredibly fulfilling. You build strong relationships with buyers and get to be part of one of the most important milestones in their lives. That connection is what makes it all worthwhile.
Personal Picks and Life Outside Work
Are there any specific homes or features you particularly love?
Yes—the Kirkham is my favourite. It has a fantastic open-plan kitchen, dining, and family space, which is how we like to live as a family. The hallway and the balcony just complete the home beautifully.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
I love spending time with my family, including our Cockapoo, Poppy. And we’ve recently had some amazing news—we’re going to be grandparents!
Final question—tea or coffee? And favourite biscuit?
Definitely tea. And you can’t go wrong with a classic digestive!
