Together moments. Everyday rituals. New beginnings and memories still to be made.
These are the moments at the heart of our new Banks Homes brand film, created to showcase not simply what goes into one of our homes, but what life can look like within one.
Designed by Life brings our approach to housebuilding to screen, combining thoughtful design and considered details with the everyday moments that transform a house into somewhere that feels unmistakably yours.
Because while the quality of the materials, fixtures and finishes matters, we believe great homes begin with something even more fundamental: the people who will live in them.
More than a home tour
Rather than simply taking viewers from room to room, we wanted to capture the reason those rooms exist in the first place.
The kitchen where breakfast happens before the morning rush. The dining table that brings everyone together. Doors opening onto the garden. Time spent with family and friends. The quieter moments at the beginning and end of the day.
They are ordinary moments, but together they are what make a home.
The film brings these experiences together with glimpses of the design, specification and attention to detail found within Banks homes, reflecting our wider commitment to creating high-quality, energy-efficient homes designed around modern lifestyles.
Aisling Ramshaw, Sales and Marketing Director at Banks Homes, said:
“We wanted to create a brand film that went beyond simply showcasing our homes and their specification. Those things are incredibly important, but ultimately we design homes for people and for all the moments, routines and memories that happen within them.
“‘Designed by Life’ captures what we want Banks Homes to stand for. It’s about considering how people genuinely live and creating thoughtfully designed homes that work for today while looking ahead to tomorrow.
“The film gives us an opportunity to bring that philosophy to life, showing not just the details that go into a Banks Home, but the lifestyle those details help to create. It was also wonderful to have colleagues and their families involved alongside our models, making the finished film feel even more personal to Banks Homes.”
Bringing Designed by Life to screen
The film was created and directed by MONO, collaborating with DOP Marcos Avlonitis and his crew, with the creative process centred around capturing genuine interactions within the homes rather than making the spaces feel staged or untouched.
Rich Bassett, Creative Director at MONO said:
“Our brief was to create a brand film, but one that did much more than just showcase Banks Homes beautiful design and top specification. It needed to capture the feeling of living in a Banks Home. A place where life unfolds, memories are made and every detail has been designed with people in mind.
Alongside our emotive narrative, we wanted to showcase the thoughtful details that set Banks Homes apart – the considered layouts, premium finishes and quality specification that’s included as standard. Those touches are often what turn a house into a unique, quality home and they deserved their own moments on screen. Every scene was designed to feel familiar, authentic and relatable, showing how thoughtfully Banks Homes has embraced the way people actually live.”
Thoughtful details for everyday life
Our approach to designing homes begins by thinking about the people who will eventually live in them.
That means considering not only how a home looks, but how its spaces connect, how they will be used throughout the day and how the needs of the people living there may evolve over time.
The details seen throughout the film reflect that approach.
Banks Homes specifications include features such as high-specification designer kitchens and bathrooms, aluminium bi-fold doors on homes excluding bungalows, EV charging points on many developments, air source heat pumps and underfloor heating on selected house types.
But Designed by Life deliberately looks beyond the specification sheet.
A kitchen isn’t simply cabinetry, appliances and finishes. It’s where people gather.
Bi-fold doors aren’t simply an architectural feature. They can change how the house and garden are enjoyed together.
And creating more sustainable and energy-efficient homes isn’t simply about technology. It’s part of considering how the homes we build today can be better prepared for tomorrow.
It is this combination of style, practicality, quality and considered design that sits at the heart of Banks Homes.
Made with our own people
There is another reason the finished film feels particularly special to us.
Members of the Banks team and their families stepped in front of the camera to help bring the Designed by Life story to life.
Their involvement added another layer of authenticity to a film fundamentally about people.
We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part, both in front of and behind the camera, and helped turn an idea about how we design homes into a film about what those homes are ultimately designed for life.
Homes designed for today and considered for tomorrow
Our homes are places for setting foundations and creating memories.
They’re places for together moments and everyday rituals. For the things we plan for and countless moments we don’t.
That’s why every detail should be considered with people and place in mind, creating homes that respond to how we truly live.
Homes perfectly placed for you.
Where style comes as standard, more is thoughtfully included and quality is uncompromised.
Because the best homes aren’t just built.
They’re Designed by Life.
